Library School Students and New Professionals: A Call for Lightning Talk and Poster Presentations!
Are you currently enrolled in library school and considering an arts specialization or newly employed as an art librarian?
The Art Libraries Society of North America’s Southeast Chapter (ARLIS/SE) invites current library school students and new professionals (less than 5 years in the profession) to submit poster presentation or lightning talk proposals for our upcoming conference in Birmingham, AL. We welcome posters and lightning talks on any topic related to art librarianship. These sessions will take place in the Jefferson Ballroom of the Tutwiler Hotel on the morning of Friday, November 7th. Audiovisual equipment will be provided on site. You do not need to be a member of ARLIS/NA or the Southeast Chapter to submit a proposal.
Participants may choose to submit a proposal for either a poster session or a lightning talk. Please submit your proposals containing session preference (poster or lightning talk), presentation title, a 2-3 sentence description of your topic, your contact information, and library school students should provide the name of your school and program, to Kaitlyn Parker, Library Assistant I, University of Alabama, email@example.com. The deadline for proposal submissions is Friday, September 26th. Participants will be contacted regarding their acceptance by Tuesday September 30th.
